Adaptation is a profoundly present capability in all living things.
Essentially all living things must adapt or die, including us, humans.

If the power level is turned up too high it can give a surprising minor shock. Users are urged to start low in amplitude or power, and to go slow when first applying. Sensitivity varies on the patient and place its applied, and moisture raises conductivity. Children of course are sensitive but both clinical and home user experience shows the very lowest and mildest power settings work very well with children.
